August 2023. Rome was burning — quite literally. It was over 40°C when I shot this session at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. The light was harsh, white, and almost slicing through the heat — but just right for the soft pastel tones I love to explore. I used a wide-angle lens to enhance the monumentality of the building and juxtapose it with the quiet presence of my wife, creating a subtle interplay between light and geometry. The soft blue of her dress against the warm beige of the marble gave me the minimalist yet expressive composition I always aim for — like the building’s silence is echoing through the frame. This day marked me, in every way. A short, intense shoot that captures so much of who I am: reserved, detail-obsessed, and deeply drawn to simplicity and strong light.
Em agosto de 2023, Roma estava a arder. Literalmente. A temperatura rondava os 40 graus quando decidi fazer esta sessão no Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. A luz era crua, branca, quase cortante — mas perfeita para os tons claros que gosto de explorar nas minhas fotografias. Usei uma lente grande angular para acentuar a monumentalidade do edifício e contrastá-la com a figura da minha mulher, numa coreografia discreta entre sombra e textura. Os tons azul claro do vestido e o beige dominante do mármore ajudaram-me a compor imagens minimalistas mas intensas — como se o silêncio do edifício ecoasse na imagem. Este dia ficou-me na pele, literalmente e metaforicamente. Uma sessão breve, intensa e que resume muito do que eu sou: reservado, meticuloso, e profundamente atraído por formas simples e luz forte.
